How often does the reading update

Your Plugin monitor checks the soil every few seconds, so the reading in the app is live whenever you’re home. It reports to the cloud every 15 minutes normally, and the moment something changes, like you water it or it rains, it reports straight away and then keeps a close eye for the next hour to show how the soil settles. So day to day it’s a reading every 15 minutes, but a watering shows up within seconds.

Your battery monitor, to make the battery last months, the monitor sleeps between readings and wakes up every 30 minutes to check the soil and report in. When you first switch it on it reports within a minute so you can see it’s working. Because it’s asleep in between, big changes like watering are picked up at the next check-in rather than the very instant they happen, usually within half an hour, and it then checks more often for a little while to capture how the soil settles.
