Do cold or hot conditions affect readings

Temperature can nudge soil readings a little, and very cold ground behaves differently as it approaches freezing. For everyday gardening this is minor. If you want the most stable readings through a hard frost, treat the numbers as a guide during those spells and rely on the trend.
