Can I give the monitor a fixed address

Asked by plantsense on 26 July 2026 Answered

The tidy way is to set a reserved address for the monitor in your router, sometimes called a DHCP reservation, using the monitor’s hardware address. That keeps its number the same without changing anything on the monitor. Most people never need to, the .local name or the cloud handles finding it, but it is there if you like things fixed.
